Editorial submissions guidelines

We accept unsolicited submissions from credentialed authors (RDN, PhD, or equivalent professional standing in nutrition science, biostatistics, or human-computer interaction). Brief guidelines:

• Pitches should include a one-paragraph thesis, the proposed methodology, and a sample of prior published work
• All findings must be based on identical test sets and a documented protocol; we do not publish opinion pieces without empirical grounding
• Submissions are reviewed by a named editor and a second peer reviewer before any acceptance decision
• We do not pay rates that compete with the major science publications, but we offer editorial rigor and methodological transparency in exchange

What we do not accept

• Sponsored placements or paid ranking submissions
• Affiliate-driven content
• Press releases for inclusion as editorial content
• "As seen in" link-exchange requests

Response time

We aim to respond to editorial and methodology correspondence within five business days. Replication-request correspondence (including requests for raw per-meal trace data) may take longer; we will acknowledge receipt within five business days and provide a response timeline.
